Albert Anthony Real Estate share the Valentine’s Day Love with Sojourner House

Thanks to our new friends at Albert Anthony Real Estate, Sojourner House families were able to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early this year.

Volunteers from Albert Anthony Real Estate provided a wonderful Valentine’s Day-themed celebration the evening of Feb. 10, for the families of Sojourner House.  Phillip and Colleen Anthony and Jenny Butler decorated for the holiday, and prepared dinner.  Board members were also invited to assist with set-up. They brought homemade desserts, provided Valentine’s Day cards for the residents to send to their loved ones, and enjoyed dinner with the residents.

Albert Anthony Real Estate is a Pittsburgh-based brokerage company that provides Real Estate Services to buyers and sellers.  All of their volunteer work and contributions are compliments of Albert Anthony Real Estate’s GIVE TIME PROGRAM, which dedicates volunteer time to various Pittsburgh charities/non-profits for every single home they sell in Pittsburgh.  Phillip Anthony believes the true helping and healing comes from being on the front lines volunteering.  He recently shared sentiments about Sojourner House.

SH: How and why did you decide to host a Valentine’s dinner for the Sojourner House families?

Phillip: We wanted to host a Special Valentine’s Dinner for the women of the Sojourner House to let them know that they are loved.  

SH:  You made some inspirational comments at the dinner. Would you please repeat/paraphrase what you said that evening?

Phillip: Each woman in this room has a difficult past and story. Yesterday is behind you now and today is your day to shine.  You are surrounded by love here at Sojourner House and tonight at the Valentine’s dinner. This is a special evening designed specifically for each of you.  Always know that we care about you and we support and love you in your journey to recovery. A new beautiful life is awaiting you.
