In response to COVID-19, all Sojourner House and Sojourner House MOMS non-direct care staff are working remotely until Friday, May 15.
Sojourner House and Sojourner House MOMS are considered to be essential, life-sustaining services. Please know that our programs are operating and continuing to accept clients while our staff members practice universal precautions for screening and intake, via the Department of Health and CDC guidelines.

The safety of our clients and direct-care staff is most important. Sojourner House and Sojourner House MOMS are practicing the following universal precautions:
- Continue proactive hygiene measures, such as:
- Frequently using hand sanitizer and washing hands.
- Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
- Routinely cleaning frequently touched surfaces and objects with disinfectant sprays/wipes.
- Clients are practicing social distancing by staying in their own apartments as much as possible, and avoiding large events and mass gatherings.
Additionally, Sojourner House has rescheduled this year’s 16th Annual Victorian Tea – originally scheduled for April 19 – to now take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020.
During this crisis, all staff and clients can contact non-direct care staff, including administrative leadership, either by phone and email. If there is an urgent concern, please email the Executive Director at dbenjamin@sjhpa.org.
